Emily Brubaker is a lifelong Alaskan who is passionate about advocating for healthcare, environmental safety, spaces for youth voices to be heard, and more. She has advocated for rare disease healthcare in Congress for almost a decade. Brubaker is the team lead for The BioGlitter Initiative, part of Carnegie Young Leaders for Civic Preparedness, focusing on reducing the amount of microplastics used in Alaska. Since winning the National Civics Bee in 2024, she has also been a strong advocate for civic knowledge and participation for youth. Brubaker is dedicated to supporting youth leading positive change in their communities.
