Kevin Singer is the Senior Director of External Relations at C&S, where he helps tell the story of what young people are doing to make their communities better and makes sure that story reaches people who can help it grow. He works with reporters, partners, and C&S leaders to get the organization’s work and research in front of the people who need to hear it.
Kevin has spent 15 years leading media relations, thought leadership, and partnerships for organizations promoting civic participation and supporting young people, including Unite America, Philanthropy for Active Civic Engagement (PACE), and Springtide Research Institute. He has helped leaders become trusted public voices on democracy, civic life, and faith. He also founded and grew Neighborly Faith into a national nonprofit that has equipped students on more than 100 college campuses to build friendships across religious differences. His work has secured coverage in The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and Inside Higher Ed, among others. Kevin is an Aspen Institute Religion Fellow and holds degrees from Northern Illinois University, North Carolina State University, and Wheaton College.
Kevin loves living in Raleigh, the land of the pines. When he’s not working, he’s usually feeding his kids, eating bean-to-bar chocolate at Videri Chocolate Factory, or watching the Chicago Bears and trying not to scream. You might catch him driving around town in his 2002 Mustang convertible and blasting Third Eye Blind. He also loves bringing people of different faiths and worldviews together over a meal because conversations go differently when there’s food on the table.
